Smith College School for Social Work

For students interested in pursuing either a master's or doctorate in social work, the School for Social Work handles its admission process independently. For more information, please visit the School for Social Work website.

Smith College seeks to provide educational opportunity for qualified students, knowing that many will require financial assistance. Financial aid for Smith graduate students consists of fellowships, tuition scholarships and student loans.

Required materials and deadlines for applications vary with the type of financial assistance requested; however the following deadlines always apply:

Application for Admission

Applicants interested in scholarship or fellowship assistance must submit the application for admission no later than January 15. (The exception to this date is the MFA/Dance program; applications are due by January 9.)

Federal Loan Deadline

Students interested in federal loans must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 15.
